If you don’t read anything else today – READ THIS!

People!

This is SO important!

The fact that DS’ers flaunt that they can “do” so much more sugar than their other-surgery counterparts is not funny.

It’s kinda sad and pathetic, to be painfully honest.

I know!  I know!  It’s so easy to get all caught up in the emotion of the moment during that honeymoon phase (the first couple of years post-op).  The thing is – that honeymoon phase – just like in marriage – is all about learning the ropes and how to live your future life in a healthy way!

So please – raise your right hand and promise, “I will read this ENTIRE article.  Today.  Really!  I will!  I promise!”

Thank you!

    I read the entire article.

I concur whole-heartedly with it and with your post.

I’m 4.5 years out, a refined carbs addict (not sweets but BREADS and starches). It’s true: cut back for even a few days and it gets easier. Cut back for a week and you can make it long-term, but if you’re a physical and emotional addict, it takes vigilance.

And, um, they WILL add weight. Just sayin. Maybe not in the first few years, but after? You betcha! xo.
